Attribution (Cite your sources!)

If a faculty member is creating a textbook from scratch, they may want to include images or other graphics. That is fine as long as

  1. The author owns the copyright to the image (i.e., they took it themselves)
  2. The image is licensed with a Creative Commons license that allows us to reuse the image in our text

In addition, we need to attribute the images if they are coming from another source.  Here is how to properly attribute different kinds of materials.
