24 HTML
HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is a way to markup a document so it displays properly on a website. While you don’t need to be an HTML expert to use PressBooks, it does help to know some basics in case you need to go into the markup to make adjustments or clean-up.
When you create text in PressBooks, you don’t see the HTML. It’s behind the scenes. To see it click on the TEXT tab in the upper right-hand corner of this editor box.
